I am an artist
living and working in the heart of East Anglia.
My inspiration
comes from the people and landscape around me. I love to walk
the beautiful countryside with my two children and our lurcher
dog, Amber. We explore the hidden spaces and local landmarks.
We especially enjoy visiting beaches, in both winter and summer,
to watch the wildlife and indulge in a spot of beach combing.
The magical aspects of this location have to be the light and
the skies. The fact that it is such a flat landscape means that
these dominate many local scenes.
My aim is to
capture the moment in my pictures, using line to reflect emotion,
character and energy, and colour to reflect light and depth.
I have been working
as an artist, designer and maker for many years. For a good many
of these I have been involved in the film, television and theatre
industry, creating props, painting backdrops and designing sets.
I have worked out of Pinewood, Elstree and Shepperton studios;
with local theatre productions; and for interior design companies,
creating sculptural installations and shop displays.
